For this application the company has a product called Water-Guard Permanent Water and Stain Repellent.

And After a pretty a liberal application to my hoodie it was so waterproof that when i poured water on it to clean my sunglasses the water would immediately bead and run down my slave

Probably won't prevent all water from leaking in but it defiantly wouldn't hurt to put this on.

Doesn't work on all material, test an area firstAnything too pourous, the material will not bead the water, it will sink in slowly

I use a soap base product, but I also have soft water, so I'm certain all those things affect the outcome

Even with two coats, this product doesn't seem to repel water very good
