I would not know if it works correctly, because we went to hook it up and the speakers that were shown other customers bought with it are not compatible

Believe it or not, this has a much better speaker than the Crosley/Ion/Jenson ones, and hence, better sound quality

It plays wonderful, we also ordered the recommended amplifier and speakers

Just be sure that when you order it, you have a pair of speakers to hook up to it (any cheap computer speakers will work), as it is barely listenable on its own

The automatic arm works great, and the sound quality--even out of our small, inexpensive computer speakers--is fantastic

I plugged it into a Bose portable speaker and it's perfect.
