It appears to be a bad motor

after only about 1 month of use the motor has gone bad and will not play records at a consistent speed.

Then the motor started to fail, slowing intermittently and speeding back up again.

Broke after 6 months, motor is unresponsive to buttons and speed is much too high, which I think is a common problem.

The first one I bought was motor powered instead of belt driven, and when the motor went bad, the only ones I could find were for $

6 weeks of intermittent playing should not result in what appears to be a bad motor

Ordered one of these to replace and the belt squeaks (which plays through the speakers) and the motor is slow right out of the box

Wish we would have known that only after 6 months the motor would have stopped working and the replacement motor is only $5

Product DOA on arrival, motor would not work.
