Rich bass with detailed mids and sharp highs make these a lot better than I expected

To correct this you would need to create a custom equalizer in whatever app you use to listen to music and bump up the bass to give you the great music experience you're looking for

(so do not expect to be mobile with these unless you want to wear the chord like a boa constrictor), they have good mid and decent (but not impressive) bass, they have very nice highs

Many headphones seem to boost certain frequencies, namely bass, which some may prefer, but that would cause a manipulated sound out of the box

Second, as I said without the amp, these sound nearly as good as the Samson's WITH the amp
