I prefer the coiled cables because it's convenient to have the "stretch" capability in a smaller package, but to be honest the coiled cable is a long for me (I stand at 5'5" average sized torso length).3

Interchangeable cable is ABSOLUTELY worth picking these up over the regular M50s, spending $130-$180 on these earphones and losing them to a chewed up cable is not my idea of fun

so it isn't as easy as just buying a nicer 1/8" -> 1/16" cable
