The bass is right

Nice tight bass, but not over exaggerated like some headphone (Beats)

I returned these simply because I felt they did not have enough bass at all

The Audio Techicas provide a very nice natural full range sound, good bass, and are a great find in this price range.

I listened to MSR7 also by Audio-Technica, and same story: excessive and fake bass and muffled mids.

They have great sound with just enough bass and you can really listen to how the artist wanted you to listen to their music

It's not that the Sony's lack bass, they can hit the low notes, but the m50's seem to have the bass featured more like if you were to turn up a gain nob for the bass on an amp or receiver
