Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones, Black

    • but I am a bit rough with my headphones
    • I have lessened this problem a bit by adding aftermarket brainwavz ear-pads which are much deeper and move your ear slightly away from the speaker lowering the bass ( this seems to be unacceptable to some who love the heavy bass
    • but at this point I am beginning to worry a bit
    • A friend gifted me a new pair of these, which I fell inlove with and were stolen shortly after, I bought a refurbished pair, and audiowise are great, however the size adjustment component is a bit loose.
    • The audio technica m50x have a very nice feeling but can get a bit uncomfortable after a while of wear
    • If you panic when hearing the sound of your own heartbeat, dont get this headphone, it isolates a good bit of external noise but it can be disconcerting for some people
    • Do yourself a favor, pay a little bit more now for these than the other gaming brand headphones or whatever else you see on here - well worth the value.
    • Bass boost actually muddies the sound a bit because it's already clear across the spectrum.. at least where the human ear wants it to be
    • Running this on my cellphone or Zune lacks a little bit in term of sound quality but running it through my FIIO X3, blows my
    • On the sound (overgeneralizing a bit):- Bass is eh, but a bit loud and overly pronounced
    • A bit uncomfortable on my head and pulls down on my hair when using them for long
    • Just bump up the volume a bit
    • But they're a bit stuffy and uncomfortable.
    • If you buy I'd be sure to also buy some felt cups to pair with it as the pleather creates a bit of sweat and will degrade fast with that
    • Love them, a bit quiet though
    • Although the difference was minimal in both cases, I would say that the ATH-M40x were just a bit more accurate in the low notes
    • A little bit of White Noise when there are no sounds present, if you have a game open the noise seems to be gone, but if you have nothing
    • I still think it's a bit expensive at $50, given the build
    • The only issue I find with these headphones is that they get uncomfortable after a while; they become a bit to tight, and the cord can be annoying at times.
    • Treble and bass are very pronounced while midtones are a bit weaker yet still detailed.
    • The highs were a bit too bright, and there wasn't as much bass as I had hoped to be
    • The built is a bit bulky but manageable
    • I've also dropped these plenty of times on the floor (sister knocks them off every time she goes near my desk, wire gets tangled around arm rest, etc.) and they have not deteriorated one bit
    • The M70X lacks a bit of bass for some music, but modest EQ can fix that when needed.
    • They lack this sort of glowing harmonious quality, and they sound a bit dead and flat.- Highs were fine and precise, but I remember them sounding a bit loud, especially on the top end
    • I've tried Bose Quietcomfort a bit as well
    • For the latter two, the M50x unfortunately falls a bit behind
    • Don't regret this purchase one bit
    • Bass boost actually muddies the sound a bit because it's already clear across the spectrum.. at least where the human ear wants it to be
    • I should also mention the Bluetooth adapter, which adds a nice bit of convenience
    • They were a bit tight for the 1st week but after that there perfectly comfortable
    • It's also a bit uncomfortable to me (I've got a big head apparently), its a bit tight and stiff around the ears, so long periods of use can be uncomfortable
    • If you panic when hearing the sound of your own heartbeat, dont get this headphone, it isolates a good bit of external noise but it can be disconcerting for some people
    • There is a problem with the bass, it's a bit overbearing and muddy, it's best to turn the bass down a bit if you can.
    • The trebles are a bit harsh, and not a comfortable fit on my head
    • Very light, comfortable, a bit hot in the summer (of course) but very cozy in the winter
    • like it but the m70 is fire..bit more expensive if ur looking to save money the m50 is the one.
    • The only reason I refrain from giving these headphones 5 stars is that the sound quality is lacking a bit
    • They are a bit tight on my head, but comfortable.
    • They feel a bit uncomfortable after very long use (+3 hours) but it might be because I have big ears and a big head lol
    • Pro (definitely a bit boosted in the lower frequencies, hence that's why it handles thumping bass way better than the 770's) and it has the slightest reduction in overall soundstage, but the trade off to me was worth it
    • Unfortunately the 990's had worse sound quality than the 770 (a bit harsher sounding and not as clear) and were very uncomfortable even after only a couple of hours
    • The only area where the M50's struggle a bit is with complicated high range arrangements which tend to get a bit muddy (as the Beats can with complicated low end arrangements)
    • Good response through all dynamic ranges but maybe a tiny bit too much bass, which I adjust thruogh my EQ
    • My only complaint would be that after a while the ears do get a bit hot and uncomfortable but you can always just reposition it different on your head or swivel one side out to breathe.
    • The treble side of things does pop out a bit more, but it's just bright enough for you to listen to
    • A bit uncomfortable around the ears after 2-3 hours.
    • If the earpads are not good for you, I suggest you be careful when choosing others because the stock pads have this cushiony thick fabric at the drivers that adds a bit of a THUMP to the bass and kills the harsher side of the treble, so the sound WILL change with other earpads if you don't choose carefully
    • 10/10 quality 10/10 comfort 0/10 proprietary bs.
    • and I have cracked the volume up as far as I
    • AMAZING!I have been using my SONY MDR-7506 headphones for the last couple years
    • When I got them back they amazingly still worked just as great as I remembered them!
    • I mean $150 for headphones isn't exactly cheap, but now that I've had them for a year all I can say is "WORTH IT"!!!!!Pros:- Durable (I leave them hooked on the outside of my backpack, and they have yet to break in any way not even a scratch
