Audio-Technica ATR-3350IS Omnidirectional Condenser Lavalier Mic with Smartphone Adapter

    • I used to run a small recording studio and these sound FINE
    • An excellent solution to improving audio when recording on-the-fly field videos, or even in the studio when a lot of movement is not required.
    • Pros: inexpensive, consistent recording quality/volume, easy setup (i.e., no setup required and worked right out of the box), good field of capture range (even outside)Cons: no battery indicator, windscreen falls off relatively easily, too long of cord (that's a lot of cord to stuff in a pocket if you also need to make room for the recording device)Final notes: I only tried this on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and built-in voice recorded and can't comment on usability with other devices (or Apple products that people have noted issues with) or recording methods
    • I can have better voice record from this.
    • It has decent audio recording quality and a wind shield
    • The item comes with all the things necessary for a good record
    • This really needs to have a power light on it, but other then that it works well indoors in a quiet environment.it does record awfully low for a powered device and my only other issue with this mic
    • It sounds bad recording into my iPhone (all apps), my Zoom (both the H4N and H5N), and all of my DSLR cameras.
    • I've tried recording with my Moto X Pure, and with my Nikon D750 DLSR and it was terrible with both
    • But, since anything recorded with this is barely audible at all, I can't really say I got even 30 bucks worth of a recording device
    • The recorded sound is, for the most part, clear until you hold the mic close to your mouth when you're trying to get a louder recording
