The battery drain in the cold is so rapid that the keypad is unreliable and often a fresh set of batteries lasts less than a few weeks

I have a doorbell cam that I cant connect to, a smart lock I cant connect to, and a keypad, that, while marginally helpful, I could have just installed a lock with a keypad from the beginning for a lot less money and trouble.

I spent close to $500 over the last year "upgrading" the hardware on my front door with an August "smart" lock, August "smart" doorbell, and August keypad.

Very very satisfied how this smart keypad has performed so far.

The keypad is extremely convenient to give guests and family members their own codes

Overall the keypad is good but does have glitchy moments

We don't use the auto-lock feature for several reasons, and so the keypad gives the extra convenience, ease, and confidence of hearing the lock actually lock

after clearing the lock the keypad is working fine again and we had a couple issues with the autolock feature but that is because we changed our Internet service

after a year so of having the lock it started functioning decent however the keypad is never worked well.

I love everything about my August Smart lock and my Smart Keypad!

The keypad makes it easy to simply text a customized code out and you can even set up a schedule or grant temporary access

I thought hey, since I'm already invested in the August ecosystem, I might as well get the keypad so that (1) I don't need to coordinate with my guests and cleaners when they get in or out; and (2) I'll just grant/revoke passwords remotely

But we find our guests prefer the keypad almost exclusively and as a result the keypad option is just too unreliable

We have had the keypad and lock installed for about a week now the keypad was extremely easy to install and link to the lock.

It makes it fairly simple to secure the door remotely, but this keypad is terrible.

future versions should have the wifi option built-in to the lock like most locks in the market now , instead of the hassle of buying tye controller & the keypad separately and set it up all over again

The keypad itself is flimsy plastic garbage, that will likely break just from changing the batteries

Sometimes I need to completely remove the keypad it from the app and re add it and lose all my settings so need to renter all of those.
