The problem with this is that when it is attached to the car vent, and my phone is on there, the vent falls forward because of the weight of my phone

If you don't have car vents that are perpendicular to the ground or only a few degrees off, I'm not sure if this would work for you

It may work better for you if you put the sticky magnet directly on the phone, and your cars vents are strong

You get a few things in the tiny box, 2 thin metal magnetic plates, and a very thick magnet that you put on your cars vent

It holds securely to the car vent but is easily removed or moved to a different vent

I just slid the metal plate behind my phone case (I didn't use the sticker) and attached the magnet to my car vent and done.

When placing the plate and the magnet, consider the weight of the phone because the car vent moves down leaving the phone facing the floor

A/C vent on my 2010 Prius

Much simpler than other a/c vent mounts that clamp or grab onto the phone--you just hold the phone up to the magnet and it sticks.

Obviously, placement of the phone holder depends on the a/c vent position of your car model

Minor drawback - blocks the a/c from the whole vent - but it keeps the phone cool in the summer even when navigating or other high-use scenarios.
