1-1/2" adapter was included, but it (made from flimsy plastic) was cracked on arrival (I do not need it - but people who might need to think about this item)... locking mechanism for legs being plastic does not provide any confidence that it can indeed survive 100lbs pressure on top column and hold it in place (not that I am going to use anything close to even 50lbs on it)
