    • The positive and negative wires hooked directly to the reverse light in the hatch, so the biggest challenge was snaking the wire all the way to the front of the minivan.
    • then I fix the camera behind the registration plate and plug the 4-pin port to the video cable, then wire the video cable into the reverse lights so it activates when you reverse, Just Red wire for positive and black wire for negative, next is to route wiring alone the car roof edge, from back to front of the car
    • Very easy to operate and install, hiding the small wire up and around the door frame molding was simple
    • The backup camera kit easy to install, however, the wire from the camera to the connection (red and black) is not long enough
    • As a precaution, I wrapped each connection with electrical tape and secured the wires with the wire ties provided for stability
    • Easy connection to backup light, after checking schematic for Positive/negative wires.
    • Spend the money and use a better power wire.
    • They supplied wire connectors but their wire was so fine it would not make connections.
    • One wire is really nice.
    • It clips out easily and the wires are: Yellow/Red (+) to attach the red wire, and Black/White (-) to ground the black wire.2)It can be hard to get the wires into the T-Tap unit, I used a Phillips head to spread open the side and slide the wire in, place the correct wiring from the camera unit into the second opening, and crimp the T-Tap metal plate down into the wires
    • I love the one plug wire instead of running two wires.
    • Easy install, only 1 wire from camera to display
    • It came with just enough wire to make it to the dash in a Ford Escape 2008.
    • I think now the problem was my existing wiring - it was a bit of a rat's nest
    • I'm not new using this backup equipment, I installed one on my 2006 Mini Cooper, it worked but had the same problem connection the fine power wire.

    • Easy connection to backup light, after checking schematic for Positive/negative wires.
    • I purchased a roll of plastic housing to run the wire in to protect it from the elements since I ran the cable under the truck and attached to the frame
    • however like a fellow shopper commented, negative should be connected to ground (or negative; not sure which it was) wire (there was a ground or negative wire (credit: toyotanation web forum); white with black strip, on my car) and i connected to it
    • say to 'splice the red and black wires', this is unnecessary since they will be attached to the reverse lights via the T-Tap connectors-The directions say to attach the 'black wire to any area of metal on the body to ground it'
    • However, as soon as I saw that the Auto-Vox M1 only has one, that's right O-N-E, wire, I took the plunge
    • More than enough wire to hide it properly, simple one power source install, zero delay to power on when put in reverse, camera mount design is very subtle, monitor is clear with or without grid marker, and mount holds it very securely
    • Finding the correct reverse wire is probably the hardest part
    • Clipping the black/negative wire to my cars black/ground wire didnt work for
    • TFT LCD Rear View Monitor Parking Assistance System with One Wire Easy InstallationGreat product for the price
    • Installed on a small truck and it didn't have enough wire to go the length of the truck and had to add more
    • This is incorrect, the black wire must be attached to the negative (black/white) wire of the reverse light with the T-Tap connector.-The camera angle can only be adjusted by bending the plastic area which is troublesome if the angle has to be changed a lot to get it correct.-The camera also turns in the holder which can make the landscape tilt one direction or another if you find it's not
    • BLUE positive wire.
    • While their wire was long, and perhaps longer than the norm, it fell just short of what I needed
    • It isn't really complicated, but you don't want to mess up any wiring on your car.
    • Easy wiring red for positive and black for negative.10
    • Installed this product and immediately the cheap wiring began to smoke and i had to frantically disconnect the wiring and rip/cut the wiring out of my racecar before it burned the whole thing down.
    • then ran all wires still worked great
    • The wire is easy to connect and be tucked in, however, it is barely enough for a van
    • However, as soon as I saw that the Auto-Vox M1 only has one, that's right O-N-E, wire, I took the plunge
