This little device is absolutely wonderful!

When using as a transmitter for a single receiving device (e.g. a single pair of headphones or a boombox) the Avantree device works well; however, I've only used it within a range of 100 feet, so I have not tested it at the maximum stated range.

I already recommended the device to a friend who uses it as a transmitter to connect his Desktop PC playing his music to his Bluetooth Speakers in his backyard.

This turns out to be a well made device and customer support is great (one of the reasons I changed my evaluation to four stars).I take one star away for what I feel is a missing feature:The unit should provide Optical input to AUX output (and maybe even AUX to Optical) as a default and only Optical to Optical and AUX to AUX in bypass mode.

We can’t watch TV loud with our little one so this device is our savior!

Quality product, works as advertised, great solution to convert a non-bluetooth receiver into a modern bluetooth device.

I would highly recommend this device if you are looking for a quiet TV experience or if you watch TV while a spouse or family member is sleeping.

I say that because there is a teensy caveat to this -- the device has a speaker -- and it's unnecessarily loud AF

This device worked immediately for me when plugged into my toslink port on the back of our rather aging Samsung TV, and while I wrote to Avantree because I couldn't find the PCM setting, the device worked anyway to give me the option of having audio from both my headphones and TV speaker simultaneously (as I prefer because I am the only one in the room with hearing aids) or, at my option listening solely through the headphones and with the TV speaker silent

Its a great device, and I am not saying it isn't.
