It has 3 nice pockets on the inside front and back cover.

In case it's not clear from the photo, there is no clear pocket insert on the cover, so you can't slide a piece of paper into the front

Also, there are clear pockets on the inside of the binder (two pockets on the front, and two on the back).

I did enjoy the pockets on the inside.

It's been our experience thatthese don"t work or hold up as well.
