It is hard to know exactly were to fill each space up to to get a nice round cake pop without overflowing it, but it takes practice and varies depending on what cake batter/mix/recipe you are using.

I loved making mini cakes for the kids birthdays.

So in an effort to avoid my experience being labeled "user error", I made multiple "pops" taking several different approaches and wasting good cake batter.

My initial test run had me baking a cake, crumbling it and combining it with frosting, freezing, then dipping in white chocolate and sprinkling with "sugar"

As to the crunch some talked about on the outside....that is what my family loves, however after setting for a bit they are not quite as crunchy and soften a bit, which didn't bother the family at all as there are none left each time!
