If the license plate is on the same plane as your backup lights the installation is easier

Not the easiest installation but for ~$50 including the magnetic holder and the extra equipment to tap in properly it is a good buy

Would recommend wireless kit as well for a little easier installation.

Installation was pretty painless: splice the camera hot lead to a backup light, run the RCA cable to the dashboard and hook it up to the display

Overall, I feel positive about this product, but it need better installation instruction and improvement over the mounting mechanism of rear view camera.

Both the camera and screen work well, installation was not difficult and the picture looks clear enough to allow me to back under my trailer and hook it up by myself

Installation could be easy if you dont run wires correctly, But it takes time

TIp for novice self installers, you will need to purchase wire tap connectors for backup light and a fuse add a circuit for proper installation.

Part of the problem was due to my particular truck -- no way to get a cable through the firewall -- but the installation would have been much easier and the unit would be much more reliable if the provided wires were of a heavier gage

Slightly complicated to install because I didn't realized that I had to both tap into the back up light in my car, as well as to a fuse in the front of my car
