I've heard most of the popular bluetooth speakers and I've always been underwhelmed by the sound.

However, the Sony XB10 Portable Wireless Speaker with Bluetooth, Red (2017 model) is a more user friendly and cheaper bluetooth speaker for much lower price with inferior sound quality compared to the more expensive Bang & Olufsen P2 speaker.

App and Setup:- App attempted to connect over Bluetooth automatically to the speaker but failed

There are far less expensive bluetooth speakers available but this is in a different class of sound quality.

The speaker is only Bluetooth compatible - there's no way to plug your iPhone into it - but pairing it with the phone was simple and easy

The B&O Play Beoplay P2 is a compact, easy to use bluetooth speaker that just works

I compared the Beoplay P2 portable bluetooth speaker with the Sony XB10 Portable Wireless Speaker with Bluetooth, Red (2017 model) which I also own

$170 is not chump change specially considering what other more affordable bluetooth speakers cost

The B&O Play is a powerful Bluetooth speaker that hooked-up easily to my iPhone and Andriod Tablet.

This is absolutely the best small Bluetooth

It's attractive, compact, colorful, rechargeable, and Bluetooth-connected

And best of all, like the Soundlink II, it has a small microphone to make it an exceptional Bluetooth speakerphone

There are far less expensive bluetooth speakers available but this is in a different class of sound quality.

This is a nice bluetooth speaker.

It sounds just as good as my Sony SRSX55/BLK Powerful Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Black) - maybe even a little better as the bass isn't quite as punchy as the Sony (my listening tastes appear to be changing as I don't like thumping bass anymore).

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay P2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker comes smartly packaged with seemingly no directions on operation beyond symbology.

First of all, I have a B&O A1, the "silver hamburger," as my kids call it, and it is one of my favorite Bluetooth sound devices ever

Unfortunately I was unable to find a different manufacturer of speakers with a c type microusb plug, and a flimsy b type plug is normally the first thing to break on a speaker rendering it useless.

I finally only got it to work after downloading the (free) B&O Play app

The volume level is the most perplexing issue - guess B&O quality control continues to lag (obviously the company has no idea about or interest in Six Sigma).In an attempt to “fix” the problem I have uninstalled and reinstalled the B&O app, deleted and reestablished the Bluetooth connection, but neither seemed to make a difference.

This is the most powerful of all current B&O portable speakers.

The instructions are online, buried at the B&O website – annoying!-Charge does seem to last a “long”

B&O wins!I played Spotify on both speakers with the same songs by Led Zeppelin, Audioslave, NWA, Beastie Boys, and Taylor Swift

If B&O makes big improvements to its app and devotes more effort to explaining how to use their stuff versus wowing potential customers with overproduced webpage marketing videos, eventually you will be able to realize the P2's full potential.
