    • the other was missing a few parts but it did work well using a antenna from my
    • The stock antenna is not bad but Iwould suggest buying a better antenna if you want more range
    • The stiffer antenna supplied with the UV5R is prone to breakage when getting in and out of vehicles
    • The antenna is flexible enough I'm not worried about breaking it

    • Next the supplied antenna worked for a short while, but soon was defective: has intermittent internal connections and when touched on one side it would not make good electrical contact
    • But with a better antenna I can talk to a buddy over 3 miles away in town practically crystal clear no problem
    • Also would have preferred to pay alittle more to get a better antenna with the radio in the same order.
    • It isn't a "deal breaker" for me, since I don't have trouble modifying the antennas
