• Reviews around city (4.09 of 5)

Batman: Arkham Origins - Xbox 360

    • Really good game, if you liked the other Arkham games (Asylum & City)
    • I was hesitant at first after reading all the mixed reviews for this game, because I loved Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City
    • Not quite as good as Arkham city and where are all the citizens doing last minute Christmas shopping?
    • If you loved Arkham City, you will love Arkham Origins
    • Graphics look great, movement and combat are as good as arkham city
    • Arkham City made me exciting about games again and, despite any flaws it may have had, I was addicted to it
    • Arkham City is much better
    • Like other players the city does need to be more populated with civilians.
    • Not as good as Arkham City, arguably the best Batman game ever made, but still a good concept.
    • Is it as good as Arkham city
    • Also I disliked the city as Arkham City for example was FULL AND FILLED with life and much to do within the small scale of the map, whereas Origins is a LARGE map with LITTLE LIFE to it
    • Combat is just as smooth as Arkham City and a great story as well.
    • Also Gotham does seem to resemble Arkham City a little bit as well
    • Of the Arkham games, I love Arkham Asylum and Arkham City
    • The game was fun enough at first, although the city is incredibly dull and boring
    • However, Arkham City had a similar issue where save files would simply disappear, and no patch ever came out to fix that,
    • Let me preface my review by saying that I have never spent $60 on a game I didn't intend to like a whole lot, I loved Arkham Asylum & City, and I this was THE game I looked forward to playing all year
    • When I got the new Batman Origins for Christmas, I had already read some reviews and knew it wasn't as good as Arkham Asylum or Arkham City
    • This game feels like I'm still playing Arkham City
    • I loved Arkham Asylum and Arkham City
    • Not as good as Arkham Knight, or Arkham City, or Arkham Asylum, but definitely a great game
    • First of all Im a really fan of batman franchise, I love the two previews one (Assylum and City), but I think it was a big mistake let the franchise to WB, the graphics are
    • It's capitalizing on the fact that you loved Arkham City so much that you'll want to play what is essentially the same game all over again
    • don't know why some people where saying it wasn't as good as Asylum or City it meet my expectations
    • In other terms the city seems a little lifeless even on Christmas Eve
    • Seems like there are less 'hook points' in the city for you to grapple to, even though the city looks like it should work the same, or maybe since its 5 years or so earlier his grapnel doesn't reach as far, so you end up gliding more before you can find a new place to boost yourself along and back up into the skyline.
    • plus' mode not as good as 'Arkham City' IMOupgrades locked in set sequence of availabilitydark knight system challenges locked in set sequencegame save files will corrupt from time to timei am enjoying Arkham Origins for Batman experience it deliversthere is so much
    • Not as great as arkham city, but definitely a solid game, and if you can get it cheap (20 dollars max) then you should find some fun in it to tie you over to arkham knight
    • The city is cool, but I'm not sure the areas are as memorable as they were in Arkham City
    • If you are thinking of buying this item because Arkham city was so good, lower your expectations
    • Nowhere near as good as Arkham City
    • I loved the previous Batman games and if you liked Arkham City, well, this is pretty much the same game but with one big difference.
    • Still, I loved Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, so I pre-ordered Arkham Origins and hoped for the best.
    • The city is beautiful and haunting.
    • If you enjoyed Asylum and City, this game is a must.
    • I haven't beatin this batman yet, but already i feel like Arkham City was a more complete batman
    • Would have been good to see more real innovation, but if you enjoyed Arkham City and feel like you'd like to play more levels, that's basically what this is
    • I loved both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City and this new games seems to be very similar except for the
    • Just not as fun as Arkham City to me.
    • Not as good as Arkham City but still very good.
    • Overall, I would recommend the game, but with the caveat that a player should not expect something as epic and expansive as Arkham City, but still something more than Arkham Asylum.
    • The combat style was mostly the same, but something in the feel of the game was just not as good as Asylum and City
    • and I absolutely loved arkham asylum and city
    • Which itself is fine, since, let's face it - Arkham City was a damn near-perfect game
    • The story line was good but it felt dull by weak voice acting and a lame Gotham city with no one but a few criminals on the streets
    • Would have gave 5 stars BUT Arkham City was better
    • Gameplay is standard, same stuff here, except the boss battles which were pretty good considering, but nothing groundbreaking as I wouldn't expect it to be considering it's an origins story set before the events of Asylum and City
    • Sounds easy enough, and it would be if not for the fact that you seem to move a lot faster when sneaking which makes it ten times harder to actually hit the "Y" when prompted, and the camera tends to jerk around wildly at times.
