The release button widens the grip smoothly (slowly).All the other parts seem very sturdy and not flimsy plastic.

I think it is easy to use, easy to install, and it doesn't feel like cheap plastic, it feels sturdy.

A clip system holds the mount to the flaps of your A/C exhaust port (not sure what those are called) with a flip of switch on top, very simple to operate; if you need to re-mount it, very easy to flip the switch and un-clip it.

Additionally, the car mount (almost the size of the A/C vent) plus a phone case (Otterbox Defender) blocks the entire A/C vent
