It has nothing to envy to the original Wii steering wheels, it is made of durable plastic and equal to the original mechanism

I was hesitant when I read the reviews about needing to remove the clear plastic piece, but I have not had to remove them from mine

The plastic they use is a bit smoother, the logos are missing (Of course) and it's actually lighter in weight than the name brand wheels

they are cheap, only downside is the plastic for the ir port but this can be taken out or broke out if it really bugs you.

There's a clear plastic piece that distorts/blocks the signal from the tip of the wii controller.

I had to take the controllers out of their soft plastic covers but was able to easily insert them into the wheels even with the wrist straps left on.

My only complaint is that the plastic feels cheap but that that is to be expected for the price.

I have a small size remote that came with my WII when I purchased it, which is basically a mini remote with the motion inside, but it does NOT fit in the Mario Kart Racing Wheel because it is too small and not long enough, The wheels are a hard plastic and fit only the regular size WII remotes

Kids didn't take to them as well as I thought they would.

These wheels are just as good as if they were Wii wheels!

This connection serves no purpose which is confusing as to why the manufacture would add it to this product.
