The sound is crisp and I can make out all of the subtleties that I would demand of a good pair of phones.

I won't go so far as to say they're worth it, since valuation should be determined individually, but if you want a durable pair of headphones that look great and give you a phenomenal sound that makes you love your music all over again, you won't go wrong with these Beats Pro.

I know what good sound is both in home theatre setting and in headphones as I have used Bose Quite Comfort two's to Sennheiser HD 598's and the Beats Pros really are a great pair of headphones in all sense of the world, they are comfortable, great sounding, fashionable and a little pricey but not overly expensive

First pair I received was return die to sound quality issues

i ordered a "refurbished" pair of dre beats and they sent me a fake pair

so if you're going to pay that then get a good, sturdy pair of headphones that are worth the money

As far as using these for hip-hop, pop and mainstream media, I don't think I've ever used a better pair of over ears

reagular high end dj headphones will cost you between $130-220, i would say an extra $100 would be ok for material costs so a pair of these beats might be better if they were priced at $300

Studios (I hated that).I'd say if you love music as much as I do, forget Solo's and Studio's exist and skip right to Pros, best thing I've ever bought!

I would highly recommend as they are the best purchase I have made in a long time.

My son loves these and wears them around his neck as a sort of teenage fashion accessory as well as for listening to music

After listening for an hour or so, your ear will ache as if circulation is being cut off

However the emphasis on the low end implies that on some songs you will discover that the mids and highs get drowned out and dont sound as clear or crisp as they do on the Beats Studios or other DJ headphones
