Very simple to replace, no special tool needed, just a butter knife will do the job

Removing the old ear pads was simple, I took a butter knife and stuck it between the ear pad and the beats structure, and slightly pushed until I heard the velcro starting to let loose, and from there on I just kept peeling it off with my hand
