I'm updating this review to reflect the fact that after incorporating a line level booster in front of the Behringer amp it is meeting my expectations and is providing plenty of amplification for my hearing needs(way more than enough).The sound is distortion free and both devices create a small footprint in my media area, although I had to use a few adapters to make everything compatible
