It is supposed to fit between an old style turntable and a newer amp/preamp boosting the signal from the turntable.

its converting doesn't give a good signal.

The signal is pure but a little flat, though this can be corrected using a quality 32 band Equalizer

I wish it amplifies the signals a bit more (higher gain)

The phonograph sounds great, and the signal is clean and clear

The problem was the signal wasn't strong enough without a specific "phono" connection (which most newer receiver's no longer have) and all I needed was this amp.

It has no trouble amplifying a turntable's signal to line level

There is a bit of a hum when I turn it on, but once a record is playing through it, it sounds great and boosts the signal effectively

This device gives you a nice line out signal, plus it seems that somehow reduces the surface noise found on almost any used vintage LP

otherwise works as it says it does

the sound distorts depending what your actually using this for might make a diffence next time I'll spend a little more money but over all the product works as it suggest
