Second problem: people complain about "muddy bass"

Good bass, mids and highs

I like these mostly because I am over my "booming bass" phase, and listening to thunderous bass while watching movie was not very pleasant

price).They had decent bass (for the size) and volume, but it never sounded "good"

These speakers sound great to me, has enough controls(volume, bass, treble) and accessible connections(headphone plug and power-on button in front, not in back of speaker).

The front panel controls are a little cheap feeling and I've found the bass and treble controls a little perplexing.

These monitors have a pretty decent bass response, with some very thick and muddy Mid range response

IF you prefer bass, these do go pretty low and loud if you max them out

Having two inputs is certainly a plus, as well as having a headphone
