I use it to record with electric violin but it only pans on side no stereo output... same issue when recording with electric guitar.

I use this for various purposes from capturing audio for analysis as well as regular live recording from a mixing console

One channel dead as a doornail, but Audacity records the one channel as two, so it took a while to realize my effort and my time was wasted.

The levels were touchy and you had to set the level at almost 0 in Audacity to get a good recording without clipping.

This may not be what you want to master a record on, for getting decent sound from an analog board to a computer without any set up hassles; nothing to download and nothing the set!

My solution was to try using another free recording application:

- I already had my own recording software (Audio Hijack Pro) which has worked wonderfully with this device.

I opened my preferred recording software(Audio hijack Pro) and selected the USB as my source and instantly had audio coming in there as well

In order to achieve decent recording levels I have to turn the mixer channels to the max, but when you do that you will experience overdrive clipping

I connected the unit to the "Tape out" of my Behringer Amplified Mixer, so I got all the instruments and vocals on the same line out, and I used a software called "Cool Record Edit Deluxe" (only because I knew this product before, and I had no time yet to learn to use the products that came with the UCA222)
