In addition to the audio interface, there was some pretty decent VSTs and other software included.
-
Suitable free software is readily available all over the web
-
I have not used the free software that came with it, nor have I tried to record with it.
-
My old XP machine allowed me to use my Amazing Slow Downer rehearsal software.
-
I also, did not receive the "software bundle" they promised either, and I read another reviewer say the same
-
The other laughable item is the alleged "massive software bundle"
-
Software is TOO complex to use for the casual user
-
Audacity, however is the perfect software to pair with this module
-
The free software is a nice touch though but useless if your not into making music/home recording.
-
Software is garbage that you can download off of the internet for free - Major Rip-Off!!!!!!
-
The software is easy as pie, and all you need
-
Some other things you might want to get is a cable/splitter for connecting between the headphone jack of your stereo and the RCA jacks of the device, and free Audacity recording software which you can download from the Internet.
-
Incidentally, the disc of free software went right into my trash, because for my recording and audio editing work I use Goldwave--shareware, but very sophisticated.
-
I followed all of the instructions but i can't get the "Lame" software to work right to convert the wav files to mp3
-
I know the software that came with the UCA is entirely free/open
-
Wires everywhere to make the connections, and the software is pretty unfriendly
-
The software is a nice bonus, as having used Audacity before and finding it cumbersome at best, it is good to have options
-

-
The software is not that great
-
But you can download some software from Behringer's site; this software may or may not work with your computer but this really does not matter
-
My old XP machine allowed me to use my Amazing Slow Downer rehearsal software.
-
- I already had my own recording software (Audio Hijack Pro) which has worked wonderfully with this device.
-
I opened my preferred recording software(Audio hijack Pro) and selected the USB as my source and instantly had audio coming in there as well
-
Again on the assumption that Behringer is paying the free software developers for distribution rights, I'm not going to go ahead and write up a list of the exact VSTs and other software that is included (as I initially intended to do)
-
Works well but the software available on line is not user friendly.
-
I don't really need or want the free software, but if you do, then this is the better choice of the two.
-
-Nice matching red led to let you know the unit is powered on-Gold plated rca inputs & outputs-Great instructions & packaging-A lot of free audio software (available for download from Behringer's website) when you purchase the interfaceCons-None*WOULD LOVE TO SEE ANOTHER VERSION OF THIS EXACT
-
But I hope at the very least that Behringer has arranged some sort of profit-sharing deal with the many hobbyist, semi-pro, and struggling pro software developers that made this stuff
-
The software is available as a download on the Behringer web site, just FYI.I'm very happy with my purchase of the UCA222 and I am really enjoying my lossless audio files routed through this DAC and passed on to my headphones
-
Audacity is great recording software
-
I've seen a couple of other reviewers also missing their software
-
If you want a good multi track recording software, you will need to purchase that separately.
-
Haven't try the free software...
-
Suitable free software is readily available all over the web
-
I am finding that the free software is not the software I would want to use
-
When I went to website to download the "free" software it's actually Audacity 1.25
-
I/O is concerned.
-
This is rather embarrassing as I've now owned my unit for quite a few years
-
Works as it intended to no complaints.
-
Works as it say it would
