Considering it is a $25 pedal, it has a lot better tone than I expected

Love it love just as good as my Metal Zone...cheap and very nice tone could not be happier :)

I would recommend this as a practice pedal where tone isn't terribly important, but high gain is preferred.

I pair this pedal a Blackstar tube amp (the one with reverb) and I honestly can say I prefer its pedal-less dirty tone to anything this pedal does with it on the clean tone, regardless of how much I fiddle with its knobs

by turning the gain to the middle I ended up with a great tone with almost no noise

Treat the plastic-cased UM300 with respect, and you'll have rich, square-waved, tone monster, for your guitar or bass

The mid range control in my opinion is what really makes this pedal shine, you get more than just a heavy low growl or a banshee scream tone, you can create a full rich wide tone that balances out much better and blends well with the bass guitar too

I recommend using the setting from the Boss Metal Zone manual as a starting point as these result in good tones for that pedal

absolutely stellar distortion with amazing tone and definition!

I have even tried putting my amp on "dirty" and using this, but forget it, just constant feedback and humming, so definitely have to use it on the clean tone of your amp
