-
This sounds great, rugged and if damaged low cost to replace.
-
The only reason I say its 'very good' vs excellent sound is to get what we consider excellent, I'd have to pay about $350 or more on a Rode or Neumann mic - this one is $20.
-
Good sound without distortion.
-
Excellent clear sound and great quality.
-
Excellent sound even in noisy environment -high quality at very low price.
-
Don't misunderstand this mic is really a GREAT sounding mic.
-
Great professional sound and quality for the price, Sounds identical to mics costing four times as much, Great for djs and houses of worship.
-
I haven't used this mic much, yet, but so far it has a great sound
-
The snare and kick sound great, the lousy tom heads sounded lousy and loud
-
That hing has a great sound
-
good sound, but it makes a lot of noise management
-
Sturdy and good sound.
-
Great sound
-
The clarity and precise sound far exceeds my expectation
-
This microphone produces a really nice sound
-
If they break it you will get great sound until it's wrecked but at this price you won't care.
-
I actually prefer these over the Sure SM58 as I feel the XM8500 has a more articulate sound for vocals with more pronounced mid-highs so the vocals come out of a mix better, yet it is not harsh sounding.
-
Works great for the parties I use it for - sounds nice and clear
-
But this mic is a winner - it's solidly built, has a really clear sound, plenty of output, and an unbeatable price ...
-
But these Behringers have a real smooth sound to them, good for male or female vocalists
-
I am very happy with this mic - It has a nice, clear sound and has high gain
-
Smooth sound and well built.
-
The sound is good and clear.
-
great sound for.
-
I expected this be a lightweight device with marginal sound
-
Nice sound , nice weigh, not to heavy, not plastic.
-
The sound is clean and clear.
-
Has a excelent sound quality.
-
Good sound, worked for a crowd of 200 people
-
It handles well with clear sounds.
-
They seem to work good and has a good sound from them.
-
I use mine with a Behringer Q802 sound board, and it produces very good sounding sound
-
Had a couple of these arrive already missing the low end response, resulting in a tinny, unusable sound
-
good sound
-
The mic sounds great and in typical Behringer
-
It is a simple mic, no on/off but well built, good sound
-
Solid mic..good sound and feel heavy duty as it is made well
-
Wow, Great sounding and inexpensive.
-
Excellent sound
-
Great live sound at a great price
-
If you are a touring bar band supporting your own sound, grab some
-
Very nice sound
-
Didn't break the bank but the sound and quality is rich.
-
This sounds smooth but NOT muted and was almost impossible to make clip, unlike any of the others.
-
Very good quality sound and constructionI used it with ( Behringer 302USB Premium 5-Input Mixer )
-
The metal windscreen is smaller and much tougher than a 58 - I use these mics when I'm running sound for bands that like to swings mics around and generally abuse them, but don't want to bring their own mics
-
Excellent sound
-
Clear sound
-
Now I don't have a lot of experience with professional or streaming mics, but just comparing it to the audio from the built in mic on mywebcam, I have to say the difference is night and day: beautiful natural sound and picks up very little backgroud noise.
-
The snare and kick sound great, the lousy tom heads sounded lousy and loud
-
Nice clear sound.
-
Great sound
-
Sound is crisp and clear even through my old amp
-
I do not believe it was dropped or abused, but it is dead, no sound
-
I read a bunch of customer reviews before I purchased these mics, works great, got good weight and sound to them
-
If you are rough sounding, it will muddy the sound
-
Great quality product and sound
-
Great sounding mic, a bargain for the price.
-
When they do work, the sound is usable, but don't expect them to compete with a shure or sennheiser.
-
The snare and kick sound great, the lousy tom heads sounded lousy and loud
-
but it's truly amazing how close to an SM58 this thing sounds for a fifth of the
-
Beautiful sound
-
Solid build and great sound for our vocalists.
-
It doesn't make amplified and projected sound even with higher volume setting on my amp, unlike other high-end microphone, like Shure Beta 58a.
-
Sound is excellent, and construction is perfect for the price, it is like a shure SM58 but a little smaller
-
This mic has surprisingly good sound for this price range
-
The microphone has a decent sound but does not fit into the holder
-
I purchased four for podcasting and they are sturdy, great sounding and very reliable
-
Testing it on the laptop via XLR->USB cable shows that the mic has a clean sound, though you will benefit from a mic amp
-
Great sound
-
I do think the 8500 is a bit more refined and professional in sound and has an immediate good sound on plugin without having to tweak much
-
I'm able to get a very good, natural sound from this mike, worked beautifully.
-
Great sound!
-
Excellent sound, great price, definitely worth the $$
-
While my Astatic JT-30 has the great shape and crunchy sound that harp players love, I can't (easily) mount it on a stand and use it for vocals
-
Clean sound.
-
but this one has a decent sound for starters IMO
-
All those differences aside, I was able to get very nice, smooth sounds out of both
-
I record rap vocals in my very noisy loud home and this thing did a great job of keeping out those unwanted sounds while still sounding warm, clear, and smooth its unbelievable to think it was just $20
-
Exellent sound, quality and presentation
-
Sound is Great
-
Sound is pure and the microphones feel sturdy.
-
Good clean sound
-
With this mic, I don't have to EQ everything to hell in order to get a usable sound
-
Its sturdy and very well made, plus it comes in an awesome case and the sound is fantastic
-
Attempted every means I had available to increase the recording volume, but it just can't pick up anything outside of a very small radius (think one cm from the mic at most) and increasing the gain causes it to record nothing but static and popping sounds
-
I love the sound out of it
-
Seems to have a nice sound.
-
Even when you then amplify the recorded sound using Audacity sound editor, after recording with the gain at level +10, you cannot hear any aberrations, feed back, or white noise
-
For $20, I ended up with a super solidly built mic with great sound and awesome ambient sound block.
-
While not up to the standards of the SM-58B, this microphone has great sound and is very reliable.
-
Good sound, no extra reverb from the mic alone
-
Great sound
-
I use this one for a home video conference center and it works perfect with Behringer 502 mixer super sensitive and beautiful sound
-
Great quality, strong signal to mixer, beautiful sound
-
Works great, nice sound.
-
Overall the sound is a little muffled and warm sounding without any harshness or bad upper range frequencies
-
The first unit I got was dead on arrive, like dead dead, no sound at all
-
I actually prefer these over the Sure SM58 as I feel the XM8500 has a more articulate sound for vocals with more pronounced mid-highs so the vocals come out of a mix better, yet it is not harsh sounding.
-
I was worried about it being too shrill, and bright sounding because some said it runs "hot" and has a lot of presence boost, compared to the Shure microphones
-
Full rich sound without the complication of having an on / off switch, or battery
-
If they break it you will get great sound until it's wrecked but at this price you won't care.
-
I think the sound is really good for a low-cost mic
-
This microphone works great, sound is amazing for my journalism student girlfriend who uses it for interviews
-
But for about $25, this mic has a great sound, and was a lot better than what I'd been using before
-
Very good quality & sound.
-
Make sure to get a decent mixer, Had to return it but sounded nice of onboard audio, just way too quiet without a good preamp.
-
Sound is clear & crisp
-
Nice sounding mic
-
The sound is very cloudy and not crisp at all
-
It has surprisingly crisp sound.
-
This mic is a tremendous bargain - perhaps one of the best bargains you'll ever find, in terms of getting such a nice sounding mic for such a low price.
-
This sounds great, rugged and if damaged low cost to replace.
-
I first took notice of this mic when one of our band members' mics was clearly better, more present and clearer sounding than the lead singer's SM58 mic.
-
Studio Microphone (Chrome) which has been my favorite for portability and excellent sound pick-up for screencasting,
-
You'll have to be within a foot or so of the mic to get good sound.
-
Unbelievably clear and quality sound!
-
I was disappointed in this mic compared to the inexpensive Pyle I had gotten the sound is not as good.
-
Great sound.
-
For some reason it gives a nice sound with acoustic guitar from the videos I've studied
-
Compared to the Sure 57, I'd say the XM8500 had a slightly better sound.
-
I purchased this, along with a 15ft. hosa xlr to 3.5mm dual mono cable, to enhance the sound on my vixia r40
-
But overall, I'd say that the sound is very natural, it does not add the really sharp fake shrill sound to the top edge of the treble region like I often hear in all the normal "condenser" microphone videos online
-
I'm very impressed with this mic, its very clean sounding, so it works well with my voice when performing live in a loud venue
-
The sound and build quality of this mic is amazing
-
Just a good, solid mic with warm sounds
-
Great sound
-
After that, the mic sounded basically JUST like the SM58.
-
Excellent sound for $20.

-
Great Sound!
-
Awesome sound!
-
(Behringer is fine sound-wise yet not known for their sturdiness) but it looks to me to be just as rugged
-
Using for karaoke, great sound
-
Clear sound
-
Crisp clear sound.
-
Not too loud, not too quiet, no harsh sounds so it's perfect for vocals
-
Sound is unreal and response is amazing.
-
It gives me great sounds.
-
It had a warm straight forward sound to it which my co-hosts appreciated
-
Incredible sound for this price
-
I even recorded most of an album with them on all the amps and drums- it didn't come out sounding like top 40 radio, but it did work
-
The sound is clear and loud
-
this mic performs as well as 100 dollar ones do, wonderful sound, i could not be happier
-
My wife is also a professional musician and agrees the sound was very good, and she's the toughest critic I know of!
-
VERY sturdy, weighted feel, great sound, and to me, sounds every bit as good as an SM58.
-
Love it great quality sound
-
I got this to improve the sound of the Blowing Up
-
The Mic sounds great, even next to my old Sennheiser E835
-
It is a nice SM58 clone, and that's a good thing--vocal clarity is very similar to the 58, it is built like a tank, sounds great, and fits the bill nicely.
-
Excellent mic, rugged with great sound and zero extraneous noise
-
Great sound and a quality mic.
-
For the price, it's very natural and has a good sound
-
Excellent build quality, hefty, nice sound, super price--has held up very well over the last year
-
It's got a good sound to it.
-
It does have good sound.
-
While that was certainly a workable, and nice sounding solution, we had always wanted to be able to split into a multiple mic setup
-
I literally preferred the sound out of this one over BOTH Shure mics and only marginally less than the MXL.
-
Nice microphone, good sound
-
If you are looking for a great sounding mic without spending big bucks , this is the best route to go
-
Good sound good build great price I definitely recommend it
-
Real clean sound, if you know how to use a microphone
-
Sound is very good.
-
Great sound.
-
It's just a cool, crisp sound
-
It has good sound and construction for the price
-
Has a nice sound.
-
Great Sound Pick
-
In general, the sound is not bad, but on the microphone there is no on / off button
-
It's light and has great sound for interviews
-
the mic sounds good
-
good microphones, clear sound, reduce or eliminate the surrounding sound (noise); good frequency response across a pretty broad range.
-
They Have very similar characteristics to my SM 58’s though maybe just a bit hotter
-
At 20% the price of a Shure 58, it is a steal!o
