BEHRINGER V-TONE BASS DRIVER DI BDI21

    • Got this for the Church band and its easier to plug in to the pa not having to drag my amp
    • For the price, it's a pretty decent amp.
    • Works well in front of s solid state amp to warm the tone.
    • But for your average player who is playing through solid state amps anyway, this is a great addition
    • I was just at an Eric johnson show where the bass player lost his tube amp in the middle of a song, it took the roadies most of the song to throw a new solid state amp up for him
    • When it comes to guitar I'm a tube amp guy, I own 11 Mesa Boogie amps and five Marshalls, but normally I like a super powerful clean amp for my bass rig
    • i also have been playing through a behringer 45 watt bass amp (solid state) which is very pleasing to me, and for $149, I think it's a steal
    • This is an incredibly inexpensive active DI with a nice sounding pre-amp, and it's as cheap as anything.
    • It is NOT a substitute for a classic tube amp, but with low expectations I was really impressed with the positive sound it gave me
    • I have not yet explored all of the options available, but definitely some great combinations of classic amp sounds
    • Even though my amp is not suitable for bass and stuff, this preamp turned my amp into a beast,an amp worth thousands of dollars
    • It does the job; makes the sound warmer and more amp-like
    • You can buy better computer speakers that are capable, but they will cost about the same or actually more than a decent bass guitar practice combo amp.
    • I was just at an Eric johnson show where the bass player lost his tube amp in the middle of a song, it took the roadies most of the song to throw a new solid state amp up for him
    • You can pull this box out at a gig and go directly to the board and it sounds like you have an amp instead of just a dry guitar input
    • And when the battery is dead it fails to work even as a
    • Straight into the board, my P-Bass growls, thunders and roars just like through an SVT!
    • I get a much cleaner signal this way than going 1/4" direct from the passive p-bass into the preamped 1/4" instrument input on the audio interface (true in both amp modeling and bypass mode).
