Lost my TV to a lightning strike

Lightning struck nearby and my projector and receiver were fried; I think the current must've built up in the receiver and traveled along the HDMI cable

I cannot tell about the surge protection yet due to not having been lightning struck but if it happens, I'll be glad to update this

I had a close lightning strike a year ago & bought this hoping it would help

Will update once it takes ifs first lightning strike surge.
