Purchased two of these to use with an IPhone X and a Samsung Galaxy S-8 and the product works great with both!

You kind of have to set it on the charging pad in a certain way, definitely check to make sure it is charging, but so far this is working great for me

using the supplied power adapter or another similarly powered USB source (such as UPS or 2.1A portable battery) works fine.
