Just what i needed for rural weird power

In UL database I found many cheap power strip with SPD has high VPR,only 1 mode protection which makes them nearly useless(you will also see many bad comment).*In NEMA website they claim energy rating(Joules) of SPD is not so useful and didn't have industry standard to test it

Use to protect microwave during any unexpected power outage

use it to plug in my garage door opener just in case of any power spikes that will ruin the garage door electronics?

We get strange power surges at least once a month - even on clear days.

Not only that, the area I live in has power surges, power loss, and god only knows what else

We bought this surge protector to use on our refrigerator because electric company power surges and lightning strikes kept ruining the computer board in it which cost $150 and that's without installation (after the first board was installed we learned how to do it ourselves)

There are a few reviews complaining the $8 surge protector didn't save their $3000 device, lightening is a uncontrollable and unpredictable thing and can do whatever it wants, just like the power coming into your house.

So far no power surges to test them, thank goodness.

I have gone through 5 refrigerators in the past 8 years supposedly due to poor power or surges.

Most inexpensive surge protectors only protect for surges between the hot and neutral power lines

I plug our refrigerator into it in case of power surge which works well

Remember that your cable TV or satellite line can fry your TV as well, so just protecting the power is not enough.
