Yeah OK.All burnt surge protectors have been replaced

We've had this on our refrigerator for eight years now, had countless lightning strikes and electric company surges, and we have not had to replace a computer board yet and the protector shows that it's still protecting.

At the bargain price they sell for, these are very nice secondary protectors for less critical equipment such as garage door openers, lower end refrigerators, washers and cordless phone extensions.

I couldn't, but the construction is solid and I can verify that there are, in fact, three MOVs (metal oxide varistors - the surge absorbing component of most surge protectors).I'm sure there are better surge protectors out there, but at this price point, these are hard to beat.

I have been using this brand for over 9 years and even need to replace a few when there was an electric surge that burned out the protector - a nice sacrificial lamb.
