The detector comes with an Autoscan mode which is supposed to eliminate false alarms but it did not work so well

The only time I have gotten a ticket with this radar was when it was either instant on or I ignored the beeps thinking it was a false alarm.

The first one died completely, will not turn on at all, while the second one flashes the "Service Required" message every once in a while, along with completely false alarms, and the volume will randomly adjust itself

You can deactivate specific bands if you want (such as X which is rarely used and can cause most false alarms.)

I have never used a Valentine One, but from what I have read and researched, this is the better detector for most drivers, due to the better ergonomics, ease of use, cheaper price, voice alerts, and reduced false alarms

Awesome detection range, love the voice, love the programmability, I use the City no X Band mode to eliminate those annoying alarm and traffic motion sensors, seems to perform as well as the top of the line Escort Passport, without the traffic camera warning feature

This detector comes with a smart cord that lets you mute false alarms by pressing the the button on the 12v plug rather than reaching up and pressing the mute button on the detector like other products
