The detection range on this unit is crazy and the build is solid and nice looking

The range of detection is excellent.

I love everything about the BEL RX65, especially the voice alert and options, not to mention the range is the best you can get

I have found that it gives me greater range than my previous detector and it paid for itself on my first road trip

I've had a Beltronics V955 and Escort Passport S55 and for the price this unit comes with great features and excellent range

The range of detection in the rear is a little more limited than the front and bright sunlight and sometimes set off a false laser alert, but it happens very rarely.

Laser and all current bands of radar are all received, usually with more than enough range to allow the driver to check with his/her compliance with posted speed limits to avoid unintentional traffic speed infractions

While the manufacturer tries to detect the police VG2's own local oscillator leakage at range greater than the police can detect yours and then shut down the local oscillator the police are not standing still either

Before this unit I had a Beltronics Vector 995, that unit had great range to pick up all bands as well and stays quiet

This unit has incredible range and often alerts you of threats so far down the road that you have plenty of time reduce speed

There's an extent to which the range may be a little too good; I think it would sometimes find radar on nearby streets that I didn't really need to know about

Seldom do I get false alarms and it seems to have very good range.

Excellent detector, very long range, just used on a 2200 mile trip and it alarmed in many cases, 2 miles in advance of highway patrol, and even alarmed with several hundred yards warning in cases where the CHP / OHP was well around a corner with a mountain in the way, or hiding on the far side of an overpass berm

The sum of the rule is the higher you pay for a good quality brand such as Beltronics, Escort ( both Escort and Beltronics are the same manufacturer [...])or even Valentine 1 , the more you pay for them the better detection, range , features and the quieter they are to false alerts.
