I have been given a friendly verbal warning in California for going 93MPH in a posted 70MPH, and in other jurisdictions, i.e. Idaho, the highway patrol claim a "no tollerance" policy and will issue speeding tickets for just 2 or 3 miles over the limit -- especially if you are from out of state
