Update: After using this monitor for about 2 weeks I could not longer stand the washed out image, blurry text, poor color, extremely slow and jumpy frames, etc. and ultimately ended up paying to return this monitor

Photos are rendered good with good color and smoothing so this would be a great monitor for gaming or viewing videos but unfortunately it's not working for what I need it to do

My monitor flickers when it is on darker screens, cannot see it when it's bright colors.

The 1440p aspect of it looks crispy but the weird colors make it look horrible.

But when I sit down directly in front of the TN monitor, it is bright white and colors are excellent just like an IPS display panel

The stock settings have beautiful popping colors and the 1080p resolution is extremely clear, I could never go back to a main monitor being bellow 1080p

If two people are seated next to each other in front of the monitor, they will be able to see the background white color start to appear as a faint yellow color, but not a lot until you get to a much wider viewing angle.

The monitor only comes with a 15-pin (VGA) D-Sub cable in the box, which is annoying in 2014 - you need to buy your own HDMI cable (you don't want to use this with the MiniDisplayPort->VGA adaptor, those adapters stink, and the colors will be crap

my husband got this for his studio and likes its a lot, the colors are great and its a nice quality.

Color is a bit warm and should be calibrated/adjusted for photo editing, which is why I purchased this.

It has great color accuracy, noticeably less flicker than the monitor it replaced, and - sadly a rarity these days - it just worked, right out of the box, without any setup woes

There is no angle from which the colors look right at both the top and bottom of the display, it's one or the other.

You have to reduce your gamma a good 50% or more to get nice true colors and contrasts, otherwise you will have everything washed out

I had to mess around with the settings a bit and everything is way more clear and the colors look absolutely amazing

The color dynamic range doesn't look as nice as my IPS monitors, but this has a much faster 1ms response time (vs. the typical 5ms response time of most panels).

It also shows vibrant colors that amaze and mystify me in games such as the Witcher 3

Beautiful monitor especially for only 140$. Has a beautiful color palette a stand that can tilt up and down, and a slim bezel that doesn't get in the way as well, and has only a 2 millisecond response time

I have had a lot of trouble with eye strain but this monitor takes it all away and also very clear color
