Lead is easy to refill and eraser is easily replaced

As a consequence the leads break almost as easily as a .5 mm

so they last longer, too, although the leads inside are as long as permissible while still allowing the advancement of lead

the softer the lead the better although @2 is the softest I have found for replacement leads

Cons: the leads seem to be made of a composite that's more brittle than graphite

The colors they come in are cool, the clicking mechanism works well, the eraser works great, and the "lead" is smooth.

But as far as I can tell everything is accounted for and they work about as well as you could hope for a mechanical pencil I suppose.
