The included erasers and pencil lead is of good quality, and the awesome colors are just environmentally friendly icing on the cake.

Lead quality is fine.

But as far as I can tell everything is accounted for and they work about as well as you could hope for a mechanical pencil I suppose.

He has no trouble holding them, not being too slick as to slide

Previously, when I carried a pen, as often as not it would not work when I needed it

the softer the lead the better although @2 is the softest I have found for replacement leads
