I've used these pens all my life, and when one hasn't been handy, I've grabbed whatever is: a PaperMate, a Cross, a MontBlanc ... and they simply don't feel right/write and they don't write right

Because of their hexagonal shape, they require minimal plastic while also retaining a surprising strength (try snapping one), and the hexagonal grip points give the pens impressive writing stability

When they work I like 'em a lot, but with the inconsistent quality they're not worth it; I'll stick to the Velocity 1.6mm.
