The coffee maker has functioned well as a coffee maker, however, I just noticed today that the insulation is "breaking" - cracking off into my coffee.

today it not only brews extremely slow, but now the lid is broken and it has to be taken off to pour the coffee, evidently there is a spring inside that when pressed to pour, has given out.

Today 6/2017 it failed to heat the water.

Bought this July 19th today is September 2nd and it will no longer work, and of course the return window is closed so I am stuck with it

Coffee today tasted a little funky

Today, it stopped working.

Today I interrupted the brewing for a quick cup,and water wasn’t very hot

n’t smell the coffee in the other room and down the hallway like with my other machine

This B&D keeps the coffee hot over 4 hrs, not scalding hot, but a great drinkable temp.

The B&D works well, is easy, and looks good.

but I must accuse B&D of planned obselesce!

B&D recommends heating the thermal carafe with hot water just before brewing to keep the coffee hot longer

It will be a great wedding gift.

I finally got it after calling B&D to complain, they sent me a new one

I bought this brand because I had a B&D space saver coffee maker for about 15 years, that finally died.

Other than that, I am convinced that I will never buy a coffee maker with hot plate again!I almost forgot to mention that B&D has made a miraculous, scientific break through pouring spout!!

Fortunately, this coffeemaker works as well as or better than any we have previously owned (and all of those were much more expensive).We use dark-roast coffee exclusively and we both like our coffee strong

This is easy to use and adjustable as to how bold you really want your cup of Joe

Not having bells and whistles didn't bother me as it was reliable and made good coffee right until the end.

For those that like coffee extremely hot, this may not be for you, it will not be as hot as with a typical coffee maker
