    • The carafe worked reasonably well keeping the coffee hot for a few hours, and longer if you poured hot water in it first as we typically did
    • Water gets really hot to extract flavor
    • Has to fill the carafe with really hot water first to warm it up and dump the hot water, and then makes the coffee with really hot water
    • I recommend one tip, after filling the coffeemaker, fill the thermal pot with hot water to warm it up first, then empty it & brew a pot...thermal pot will keep coffee hot for several hours, no need to leave pot in coffeemaker as there is no heating element on the bottom.
