It's a well-made hardcover and the twin-wire binding is sturdy, keeping the notebook together very nicely.

Hardcover is convenient for situations when you don't have a desk to rest your papers

The hardcover is great for writing anywhere... particularly in meetings and conferences where you may not have a desk
