Red n' Black notebooks in general have excellent quality paper as well - a smooth pleasure to write on, especially with my favorite kind of pen (http://www.amazon.com/uni-ball-Jetstream-Bold-Point-Stick-33931PP/dp/B000JKR4CI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1462881772&sr=8-3&keywords=jetstream+uni+1.0)

Was looking for a better quality notebook than the cheapest ink-absorbing Mead cr@p that we get for free at the office, so I picked up one of these and a similar sized Cambridge Limited in a brick & mortar store

While the main feature of the notebook is the fantastic paper quality, other features include a hard front and back cover that easily folds backward and wide ruled lines

I buy these--at my own expense BTW--to use at the office and they are such a great quality and I love the pocket (although it would be nice to be able to insert a standard 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper in it without having to fold it).

The cover is glossy and looks cheap, otherwise it's the same nice quality paper I expect from the Black & Red line and the wires hold without snagging or coming uncoiled.
