This is a car camera and does that super well

It does get hot, keep your AC going and don't park in the sun if you plan on leaving it on, in parking mode.

It does get hot when driving in the sun or parking

I contacted BlackVue directly and they suggested I update the software, and if that does not resolve the problem, I should contact the seller directly

With the sun hitting the unit, it does get hot, but then so does everything the sun hits

Even out of the sun, the camera is warm to the touch, not hot, and the card, if I pull it out and immediately put it between my lips, it also is warm but does not feel dangerously hot

Most people have Korean version that does not play well with English firmware

The unit does get warm to the touch during operation, but with the vent holes, cools rapidly once powered down.

It does get warm a bit to the touch, but venting holes help to cool it down fast after powering down.

Wifi does not work

It does get crazy hot especially in the sun

Consider the HD Hero as a multitool (does well all around) and the BlackVue as a dedicated tool (created for the specific job at hand).
