All of them easily wash off with a Magic Eraser, except for the silver and gold, which tend to leave behind some color and take multiple scrubbings to remove from my signs.

The eraser is just like a Mr. Clean magic eraser, so it would scuff a shiny surface like your car's paint

Using a magic eraser helped some, but I wouldn't recommend using them if you are worried about it staining.

I guess I should have read a bit more about them, I just figured it was safe to assume that chalk markers worked on chalkboards... call me crazy... very disappointed and confused as to what makes them "chalk" markers
