The background noise is pretty much absent if you don’t have things going on like a TV or your fan

So happy with this purchase, id heard good things about this type of microphone and it met my expectations!

I had heard good things about the Blue, but unfortunately I did not get good sound out of it and the design was top heavy and it fell over.

But this thing is awesome and I have it just setting on the desk about a foot and a half away

Also, another great thing about this mic is how easily it works with recording software, and the fact that I can take it anywhere, and not feel like I am going to break it

I can't tell you how many times this thing has been knocked off my desk by either some screaming kids or a blissfully unaware puppy dog, but even so, it smacks the hardwood floor and still works perfectly

The fact that it's a USB mic makes things very easy as well
