The padding is soft, the controls are fairly intuitive

I would prefer a skip control on the left side if at all because my right hand is often busy, but then again, I don't use skip control at all, it is somewhat DAP redundant

The controls for volume and track advance on the side work well and are easy to use, you do have to get use to the volume adjustment because it is so easy to raise the volume quickly .
